E472: The Importance of a Mastermind and A Mini Life Update

Today’s episode is a short one—I wanted to give a short life update on what’s been going on during the past few weeks. I’ve been a little absent for work in the past few weeks to attend a wedding, go on an anniversary cruise with my wife, and also to speak at the Sell + Scale Summit and getting COVID thereafter, which has really pushed me back on work that I need to catch up on.

Anyway, I wanted to talk about the real meat and potatoes of this episode—Masterminds. If you're new to the podcast, Masterminds are basically moderated groups of ecommerce entrepreneurs who keep each other accountable for their yearly, quarterly and monthly goals for their business and personal lives.

In my recent weekend with my Mastermind group, I’ve learned that everyone has something that they’re going through, whether in business or in their personal lives, despite how much money they have or how successful they seem to be on the outside. After 6 to 8 years of getting to know these people, it's quite fulfilling to have a group of people to share all your troubles with.

Hence this episode. Joining a mastermind group has probably been one the best decisions I’ve made for my business, and I really hope that you'll see how advantageous it is to be part of one.
